Test Your Klotho Level
Understand your Klotho level and how it compares to others of your age and sex. Knowing your level can help you make informed decisions to boost your healthspan and longevity.
Important Service Announcement:
Our Klotho testing service is temporarily suspended, and we are not accepting new orders. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update the website as soon as we have additional information.
For customers with pending orders for unrun tests, we will issue a credit for the purchase price to the original payment method. If you need further assistance, please contact Customer Service via email at cs@lionhearthealthstim.com
Our Klotho Assay is a research-grade tool designed to measure soluble alpha-Klotho protein levels in serum or plasma. Klotho has been the subject of research exploring its potential role in various physiological processes, including those related to aging and longevity. This test is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. By participating, you contribute to a growing dataset that may aid future scientific inquiry.”
When you purchase our kit, you provide a biological sample. In our lab, we analyze this sample using a validated research protocol to determine your soluble alpha-Klotho protein concentration. We provide you with a quantitative result for informational purposes. This result has no established clinical significance and should not be used for any medical decision-making.”
All clinics and customers ordering these Research Use Only Klotho Tests must agree to complete this research form or must confirm they are part of another IRB approved klotho related study (note this link form is just a sample look example the actual real research form will be in a HIPPA compliant database password protected)

When to Collect & Ship: Samples must be drawn on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and shipped on the same day they are drawn to assure your sample arrives in good condition. Samples that arrive are warm, clotted or more than two days after they were drawn may need to be redrawn at extra cost.
FedEx Drop-Off: A prepaid FedEx 2-Day Standard label is included. You are responsible for dropping off your sample at a FedEx location before their daily cut-off time, which is usually 4:30 pm; however, this may be earlier in remote areas. Find the cut-off time in your area on the FedEx website.
About Our Testing:
We use the IBL-America α-Klotho Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) to measure Klotho levels.
Understanding Klotho Levels
Reference Ranges
The reference ranges we provide for Klotho levels are based on a study of 348 people that was the first to establish a reference range for soluble alpha-klotho in a wide age range of healthy adults (18-85). The study, using the IBL America α-Klotho ELISA test, confirmed that klotho levels naturally decline with age, a predictable result of the aging process. While there isn’t a single, universally accepted “normal” range for Klotho at present, other studies have found similar results. As more studies are conducted, reference ranges will be updated. For more information, refer to the PubMed study
Cutoff Value of Serum α-Klotho for Predicting All-Cause Mortality Risk
In the National Health and Nutrition Examination Study (NHANES) that included 13,746 U.S. adults with a survey-weighted mean age of 56.19 ± 10.42 years old, the optimal cutoff value of serum α-klotho for predicting all-cause mortality risk in the general population was 603.5 pg/ml. Individuals with low serum α-klotho (<603.5 pg/ml) had a significantly higher risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. For more information, refer to the PubMed study
